Hubbard is located off of Highway 65 & 175.  We are 14 miles from Interstate 35 and 15 miles from Highway 20.  Hubbard offers small-town living with big city access.

     Hubbard’s unique dual water towers located behind the building housing City Hall and Library.  The locals joke of having the only hot and cold running water towers in the county.

     There is always plenty to do in Hubbard.  The list of annual events includes Hubbard Heritage Days, Chamber of Commerce Christmas Open Houses, Community-wide garage sales the first weekend of June, the Avenue of Flags on Memorial Day, the Easter Egg Hunt and Santa Claus.  The library is located on Main Street in the City Hall building and is opened Monday through Saturday.  Story Hour is held each Monday for younger children.  Hubbard has numerous clubs and organizations for all ages to participate in.  They include:  Chamber of Commerce, American Legion Post #4, American Legion Auxiliary, Lions Club, Y.A.H. Club, Helping Hands, Rebel Spirit, Sisters in Service Sorority, Hubbard Volunteer Fire Dept., Hubbard Ambulance & First Responders, 4-H Clubs, Boy Scouts, Girl Scouts, Community Greeters, Progressive Federated Club and numerous neighborhood, social and bridge clubs.

     Hubbard offers a wide variety of businesses that include a Health Care Clinic, Bank, Grocery Store, Variety Store, Flower/Gift Shop, Auto & Motorcycle Dealerships, Care Center, Real Estate & Auction Company, Vet Clinic, Newspaper, Convenience Store, Lumberyard, Electrical Plumbing Services, Legal Service, Insurance & Financial Services, Beauty Shops, Tavern, Funeral Home and numerous other retail and ag service businesses.

Brubaker-Hoelscher Park

     The Brubaker-Hoelscher Park, located at the east end of town, was built and dedicated in 1935.  The aquatic pond is a special attraction to the park.  A shelter house is also available.

Hubbard Care Center

     The Hubbard Care Center, built in 1996 by donations from the community, is a 60 bed facility that includes an Alzheimer’s unit.  Visitors are invited to tour the center.

Hubbard Medical Clinic

     The Hubbard Medical Clinic, office hours are 8 AM to 5 PM, Monday through Friday.  Phone 641-864-3301.  The clinic offers a full scope of family medical services including obstetrical, pediatric, adolescent, adult and geriatric care.  The clinic facility (building) is owned by the community of Hubbard with oversight by the Hubbard Medical Clinic PC Administrative Board.
